Publications for Frances-Anne King

Frances-Anne King

Frances-Anne King was born in Glasgow in 1951. She was brought up in Glamorganshire and south Pembrokeshire, from where her great love of the sea originated. She started writing poetry as a child and had intended to read English at university. A quirk of fate led her into nursing. She trained at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London and has worked in both primary and secondary care, specialising in hypertension and asthma. In 2002 she decided to concentrate on her writing and is currently studying at Bath Spa University for a BA in Creative Writing. She has a small cottage in north Pembrokeshire and feels her writing is influenced by the wild, mystic beauty of the area, the poetry of R S Thomas and Gillian Clarke and the paintings of John Knapp-Fisher. She is married with three sons and lives in Bath.
