Marion Preece was born and educated in Swansea but now lives with her partner in a two hundred year old cottage in Garnant in the foothills of the Black Mountains. She has a son and daughter and four grandchildren. She has studied under the guidance of several prominent Welsh poets and writers, notably Penny Anne Windsor and Peter Thabit Jones. Currently in her third year of a BA in Creative writing at Swansea University, she still finds time to work on her first novel. She is co-founder of the local writers' group, Hooker's Pen, andis a founder member of the Peacock Vein Scrip Shop. She was a prize winner in the Kilvey Writers short story competition and has had a short story, All The Woods May Answer, published in Cadenza magazine. Marion loves anything to do with Hollywood but is terrified of snakes and ventriloquists' dummies.
