Publications for Mary Millington

Mary Millington

Mary Millington originates from Oxfordshire and moved to Wales following eight years living and working at Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp (1982-1990). Mary took part in non-violent direct action there and at other nuclear bases, resulting in a number of short periods of imprisonment. She obtained employment after this, teaching in Brixton for two years, and also began to learn Welsh at the City Institute in Holborn. It was savings from her work in London which enabled her to move to Cardiff in 1992 with the intention of continuing her Welsh studies. Mary now lives in Newport, Gwent, where she works part-time as a tutor to Welsh learners and is studying for a degree in Welsh at the University of Glamorgan. She has revisited Palestine twice since her initial visit and continues to be an active member of CND Cymru and the Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
