Ruth Bentley is a pseudonym. The author grew up in a small village in the Pennines and moved to Pembrokeshire in 1978. A founder member of the Tenby Writers' Circle, her work has appeared in previous Honno anthologies. She has had short stories, poems, plays, reviews and articles published throughout the British Isles. She has won poetry competitions, including the 2004 Roundyhouse Annual Competition and the Landsker prize for humorous poetry. She has just completed an MA in Creative Writing at Trinity College, Carmarthen and had a play performed in the 'Play Off' competition at the Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea. She has completed two books for children and is currently working on her second adult novel: a saga set during the Second World War.
