Publications for Ruth Joseph
Ruth Joseph grew up in Cardiff and dreamt of writing fiction while working for IPC magazines as a freelance journalist. After graduating with an M.Phil. in Writing from Glamorgan University she was approached by Accent Press to publish her collection of short stories, [italics:Red Stilettos]. She is a Rhys Davies prize winner, Cadenza prize winner and won the Lichfield Short Story prize. She has also had work accepted by Honno, [italics:New Welsh Review], [italics:Loki] and [italics:Cambrensis]. One of her scripts forms part of the Cardiff Centenary exhibition in the Old Library. Her second book, [italics:Remembering Judith] - a memoir - relates her situation as a child carer to an anorexic mother traumatised by the after-effects of the Holocaust. It was published in September 2005. Her husband Mervyn, children, grandchildren and rescue-Labrador Bobbi, are a source of inspiration, encouragement and comfort.
