Mini Story Competition supported by the Western Mail and Golwg


Could you write a riveting story in just 100 words?


To celebrate the launch of our new website, we are inviting Welsh women to enter our mini story competition for a bit of fun, fame and fortune!

You need to write a story of 100 words, in English or Welsh, inspired by the following image:

The competition will be judged by Catherine Merriman (English entries) and Caryl Lewis (Welsh entries). There will prizes for the winners (bottle of champagne plus £40) and two runners-up in each category (£20). Winning entries will be published in the Western Mail (English stories), Golwg (Welsh stories) and on the Honno website.

Please read our rules below carefully to make sure you comply and then send in your story using the form below.

Competition Rules
1. The competition is open only to women who are Welsh or who live in Wales.
2. Entries must be no more than 100 words maximum including the title if there is one.
3. Entries can only be made via the Competition Application Form on the Honno website. Incomplete entries or entries received by any other means will not be considered.
4. A maximum of three entries is allowed per person.
5. Entries will not be individually acknowledged.
6. By entering the competition you give Honno the right to use your story in future publicity.
7. Closing date for entries to be received is 10am on 31st August 2006. The winners will be announced on the website on Monday 11th September.
8. Publication of winning entries in the Western Mail and Golwg is at their discretion.
9. Honno shareholders may enter the competition provided they satisfy 1. above and provided that they do not work directly for the cooperative.
10. No correspondence regarding the competition will be entered into.
11. The judge's decision is final.
12. No one working directly for Honno may apply.
