' From the psychopathic to the perplexed, all human life is here. Throw in a dark political plot and the result is a terrific thriller, combining violence, psychological suspense and romance. J Jacques is a highly intelligent writer who is in complete control of her medium." - Lorna Read, Women Writers' Network News
